Water Repellent Agent – PK-301
The “CHC Water Repellent PK-301” is specifically designed for coating corrugated paperboard. During the corrugation process, the diluted water repellent is applied to the top or bottom liner using a coating machine. After heat-curing through the preheater roll or hotplate section, it provides excellent water repellency and resistance to the coated surface. The product concentrate can be diluted with water to adjust its effectiveness and remains stable under mechanical stress and high temperatures. Once coated, the corrugated paperboard remains suitable for printing and is fully recyclable.
PK-301 is a water-based synthetic emulsion, with its primary component being emulsified petroleum resin, which has undergone a specialised modification process. This resin has good compatibility with water and shows high tolerance to water hardness. The diluted solution offers excellent resistance to mechanical damage and remains stable even at high temperatures. Typically applied using roller coating equipment, it enhances the paper surface with outstanding water resistance and repellency.
This product is widely used in industrial paper, paper bag production, and cardboard packaging, particularly in the manufacturing of agricultural fruit packaging bags, offering superior protection and performance.
